Bank of Queensland will play a pivotal role in the future of Highfields and surrounding areas, when it opens its new Loans Centre next week.
The Loans Centre on the corner of Highfields Road and New England Highway right beside the Copas Newhnam First National Real Estate will be owner-managed by local businessmen - Andrew Tyler, Greg Hooke and Peter Lamb who also operate the Bank's Wilsonton branch that opened last September.
Andrew will be the key person helping customers sort out their loans at the new centre - focusing on Bank's of Queensland commitment to offering the best customer service experience.
"I'm excited to be offering my extensive banking experience to the residents of Highfields and the Crows Nest Shire. I'll also have the expertise from our Wilsonton team to assist me," he said.
"I'm also happy to visit customers at their house if they can't make it into the Loans Centre - flexibility and convenience for the customer is one of our priorities."
Andrew is relying on the local community to support the new centre.
"I'm a local myself, my children attend Highfields State School and the opening of the Loans Centre represents a vote of confidence in this growing part of the Shire," he said.
Bank of Queensland General Manager Retail, Donna Brown said that with enough community backing the Bank might open a full service branch at Highfields within the year.
"Our unique owner-managed model has been a catalyst for the Bank's aggressive expansion of its branch network by 34 new branches - we want to support communities but also need the community to support us."
