The opening of a new Bank of Queensland branch at Tewantin today (Monday 13th October) has doubled the Bank’s number of branches on the Sunshine Coast in just under two years.
Bank of Queensland, General Manager Retail, Donna Brown said Bank of Queensland’s commitment to the Sunshine Coast had been unequalled by any other bank in the region.
“Bank of Queensland now has 14 branches servicing Sunshine Coast residents, more than any other bank, as well as a dedicated Business Banking Centre at Maroochydore,” Ms Brown said.
“A building was purpose built for our new Tewantin branch on Doonella Street, which is a great indicator of Bank of Queensland’s commitment to the local community.
“We have delivered on our promise to open a branch in Tewantin by October,” Ms Brown said.
Bank of Queensland Tewantin will be owner-managed by local husband-and-wife team Rod and Karen Pertot.
Rod and Karen bring to the Tewantin community more than 20 years’ combined banking experience as well as six years’ experience operating their own local business – Davo’s Bait and Tackle shop.
“Both Karen and I are looking forward to offering excellent service to our customers and providing a place where people can have a face-to-face relationship with their branch manager,” Rod said.
“Also, having owned a local small business, we can empathise with the banking needs of small business owners,” he said.
“We will be open on Saturday mornings from 9.00am – 12.00 noon to provide extra convenience for our customers and meet their banking needs.
“We invite everyone to come into the branch and actually experience Bank of Queensland’s friendly, top-quality customer service and find out about our full range of personal and business banking and insurance products,” Rod said.
Bank of Queensland Tewantin is located at 22 Doonella Street and can be contacted on 5442 4300.
