Bank of Queensland most accessible bank on Gold Coast with opening of 17th branch at Elanora

The opening of Bank of Queensland’s 17th Gold Coast branch, at Elanora, has today made it the Coast’s most accessible bank, with more points of face-to-face contact than any other.

Bank of Queensland continues to demonstrate its unwavering support to the Gold Coast, with Elanora the third new BOQ branch to open there since the beginning of the year and the sixth in just 18 months.

General Manager Retail, Donna Brown said Bank of Queensland’s commitment to the Gold Coast was unequalled by any other bank.

“We have increased our person2person™ points of contact on the Coast by more than 60% — that’s six new branches, a Private Bank and a dedicated Business Banking Centre – since we embarked on our Queensland expansion program just two years ago,” Ms Brown said.

“I think that’s great news not only for residents and businesses but for the Bank.

“There is no other bank on the Gold Coast that can claim to have shown this kind of commitment to the region during this period.

“In fact, the major banks have closed 34 branches on the Coast during the past decade, despite the region’s high and sustained level of growth,” she said.

Experienced bankers and Gold Coast locals Aideen Quigley and Tony Shipman will manage the new branch, the only bank in the 19th Avenue Shopping Centre.

They believe their 36 years’ combined experience in personal and business banking and their passionate desire to offer great customer service to the Elanora community will be a huge asset to the area’s growing number of residents and businesses.

“We invite everyone to come into our branch to experience Bank of Queensland’s renowned person2person™ customer service – it really is different,” Ms Quigley said.

“We offer Bank of Queensland’s full range of personal and business banking products and can genuinely help people find solutions to their banking, financial and insurance needs.

“To make things even more convenient for our customers, we are just as happy to visit their workplace or home if they can’t make it to the branch to see us.

“We really are looking forward to meeting everyone and helping to find solutions for their banking needs,” she said.

BOQ Elanora is located at Shop 19, 19th Avenue Shopping Centre, corner 19th Avenue and Angelica Street, Elanora and can be contacted on 5569 7280.
