BOQ Raises almost $14,000 for sick kids from inaugural appeal

Bank of Queenslands inaugural Banking on Queensland Kids appeal held last month has raised almost $14,000 to help work wonders for sick and injured kids at the Royal Childrens Hospital.

Bank of Queensland Managing Director said the Banking on Queensland Kids appeal marked the beginning of a new community partnership between the Royal Childrens Hospital Foundation and Bank of Queensland an involved all of the Banks 135 branches fundraising across the State throughout the month of June.

Some of the fundraising activities included a state-wide free dress day for all Bank of Queensland employees for a gold coin donation, raffles, morning teas for customers and community sausage sizzles and teddy bears picnics, Mr Liddy said.

We are very proud to present $13,857 to the Royal Childrens Hospital Foundation. It was a great team effort from all of our employees, our customers and the wider community throughout Queensland, he said.

RCH Foundation CEO Karen Murphy is thrilled by the result of this inaugural appeal.

We would like to thank Bank of Queensland staff and customers for their fantastic contribution this year - the Bank has always been a fabulous supporter of ours, and this long term partnership reflects their ongoing commitment to helping Queensland kids and their families, Ms Murphy said.
