Ballina locals will soon be able to enjoy a taste of the tropics when doing their banking, with the official opening of Bank of Queenslands newest branch today.
Bank of Queensland Ballina was officially opened by local MP Don Page and the Banks Managing Director David Liddy.
The Branch will be owned and managed by locals Louise and Kynan Gooding, and joins branches opened last year in Kingscliff, Byron Bay and Grafton.
Bank of Queensland will also open soon in Tweed Heads and there are plans to open in Lismore and Coffs Harbour, offering Bank of Queensland customers a comprehensive network in northern New South Wales.
The Ballina branch, which opened for business the week before Christmas, is already attracting strong customers interest.
Louise said their growing number of customers were not only benefiting from the teams three decades of experience in banking, business and agribusiness management, but in their ability to spend time with each customer.
I suppose we have all complained at some stage about the bank we are with, about feeling like a number, not a customer, about having to wait in queues, about not feeling like our business is important, Ms Gooding said.
The Ballina community can rest assured that their business is important to us - they are quite literally our business!
Our livelihood is totally dependent on how well we serve our customers, and we will happily go out of our way to make sure they feel we are giving them the service they deserve.
We say we offer a little bit of Queensland sunshine to our customers - we find locals really appreciate the relaxed, personal and attentive service we offer.
Its also enjoyable for us. As Owner-Managers we are our own bosses and can spend as much time as we like helping out our customers - and we can have a bit of fun doing it, too.
Louise and Kynan invited everyone to drop into their branch at 75-77 River Street to see just how different Bank of Queenslands person2person™ service could be.
