Bank of Queensland’s 11th New South Wales branch and its second on the northern beaches has opened for business at Rialto Square, Manly.
Owner-Managers Drew Johnson and Jodie O'Mullane have been “pleasantly surprised” by the level of interest shown by residents and businesses in just their first week.
Bank of Queensland’s first branch on the northern beaches at Dee Why has received similar support from the community and is now one of the Bank’s best performing branches.
Mr Johnson said his team was focusing on offering convenience and excellent personal service – something the community was really responding to.
“Everyone wants to be treated like a valued customer, not just an account number, and that is something our Owner-Managed Branch is able to do very well,” he said.
“Our customers are encouraged to come into the branch to do their banking, but they are also able to take advantage of Bank of Queensland’s Internet and EasyPhone banking if they prefer.
“Our branch is open six days a week – including late on Thursday night and on Saturdays, when our customers need us.
“And, importantly, Jodie and I are always there to help – unlike many banks, our branch has a direct phone line which is in the phone book and we also give all our new customers our mobile phone numbers so they can call us direct whenever they need to.”
“It’s all about convenience for our customers,” Mr Johnson said.
Ms O’Mullane said the “boutique” nature of their Owner-Managed Branch perfectly suited the lifestyle-focused northern beaches. “We reckon people want to bank with a person, not a corporation,” she said.
“Many of our customers are urban professionals who live here to enjoy the lifestyle. "They want to enjoy their valuable spare time, not waste it waiting in a bank queue or on the phone to a call centre, and we can help them personally to do that.
“As we own the branch we are able to spend as much time as we want to make sure our customers are happy and all their banking and financial needs are met.
“So, drop into the Rialto Square, Manly branch located in the Peninsula Building in Wentworth Street to see just what a difference top-quality personal service can make,” Ms O’Mullane said.
