For the third year in a row Bank of Queensland will be the banking partner for the annual B105 Christmas appeal, which raises funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital.
This year’s two-week appeal, commencing on 21 November, promises to have an extra special place in the hearts of The Morning Crew’s Jamie, Penny and Deano, as they say farewell B105.
Last year Bank of Queensland contributed almost $20,000 to the Appeal and hopes to top that this year.
The funds raised from the Appeal will go towards the Emergency, Burns, Research and Development, Oncology, Gastroenterology, Intensive Care and Outpatients Units at the Royal Children’s Hospital, helping to make the future brighter for sick and injured children throughout Queensland.
The Bank’s branch network in Queensland will be promoting the Appeal as well as being collection points for donations.
Bank of Queensland Managing Director David Liddy said this was an example of the Bank’s commitment to the community.
“This Appeal will showcase our great service to people who have not previously visited our fast growing branch network,” Mr Liddy said.
“The Bank will also make a corporate donation of $10,000 to the Appeal.”
