BOQ’s top products pick up trifecta of Awards

The competitiveness of Bank of Queensland’s revamped product offering has been confirmed, scoring a Gold, Silver and Bronze in Money magazine’s ‘Best of the Best’ Awards.

BOQ picked up:

  • Gold in the Best CMA ($5K) category for its Cash Management Account
  • Silver in Best Low Rate Credit Card category for its Low Rate Visa Card
  • Bronze in Best Credit Card with Rewards category for it’s No Interest Free Days Credit Card

Its innovative Reverse Charges Account™ received a special mention, even though it hadn’t been available for 12 months to make it eligible for an Award.

Money Magazine said the Reverse Charges Account™, which pays customers a $2 monthly fee if their minimum monthly balance is $2,000 or more and allows them unlimited free withdrawals, was likely to “make an impression on the judges next year”.

Bank of Queensland’s Gold Award-winning Cash Management Account is unique in that it offers the high interest (5.10% on balances of $5,000 or more) of traditional on-line only accounts as well as convenient 24/7 access to your money.

Funds can be accessed whenever customers need to via Internet and EasyPhone Banking, EFTPOS, ATMs, cheque, GIROPost and BOQ branches.

The Low Rate Visa Card, which picked up a Silver, offers customers a genuinely low rate (currently 9.99% p.a. on balance transfers, purchases and cash advances) which unlike some competitors’ low rate cards won’t leap up after a brief introductory period.

The Bronze Award-winning No Interest Free Days Credit Card is a great product for customers who like the peace of mind of having a credit card for unforeseen emergencies, Internet purchases and accommodation bookings without having to pay an annual fee. The card also offers free membership to our Q Rewards™ program.

Head of Marketing Mark Franzmann said it was gratifying to see the Bank’s comprehensive review of its entire product offering, including major revamps of existing products as well as the creation of new ones, was paying dividends to the Bank and its customers.
