Change of ownership provides opportunities for North Lakes

A change of ownership at Bank of Queensland North Lakes has brought new opportunities for local businesses and residents, and a new family to the area.

A recent addition to the North Lakes community, Owner-Manager Mukesh Raj brings to the role 18 years experience in banking and a knowledge of the workings of a small business.

“From my experience in banking, and having owned my own small business, I understand that customers want to deal with a manager who is accessible, based locally and understands the demands of small business – everything Bank of Queensland North Lakes offers.

“While other banks channel their small business and retail customers to call centres in different cities, Bank of Queensland is capitalising on its person2person™ banking philosophy and in-branch Owner-Managers to really bring banking to the people,” Mr Raj said.

“Being the owner of a local business – which just happens to be a bank branch – I understand the need for personal service and have an appreciation of a small businesses’ specific operations and goals to enable them to really meet their full potential.

“I like to put myself in my customers’ shoes to better understand what kind of service they are getting, so my team and I can work out what we can do to improve this.”

Mr Raj, his wife and their four month old daughter are currently building a house in North Lakes.

“We can’t wait to get settled and get to know our neighbours and customers.  We’re looking forward to being part of the North Lakes community.”

Bank of Queensland North Lakes is located at Westfield North Lakes, Cnr Anzac Avenue & North Lakes Drive, Mango Hill.  Mr Raj and his team can be contacted directly on 3491 9311.
