Sydney banker discovers an alternative and ‘buys the bank branch’

A local businessman and banker has discovered he can be his own boss and make a significant difference to his local community, by buying his own bank branch.

Milad Faeeh, who has 15 years of banking and finance experience, has bought a Bank of Queensland branch in Rockdale.

Mr Faeeh said the new branch would provide local residents with increased stability and accessibility in their banking needs.

“My experience has taught me that bank customers want to deal with a bank that is accessible, locally based and understands the local community – everything the Bank of Queensland Rockdale will offer,” Mr Faeeh said.

“I am looking forward to focusing on individual customer needs and providing personal and business clients stability and professionalism.

“Rockdale is such a great community; a real mix of different cultures, of small businesses and local families who’ve been here for generations, as well as people who are just now discovering it.

“I love the idea of getting to know my customers and having them come in to see us in the branch – I want to know my customers’ names and get to know their families as well.  I’m really looking forward to building that sense of community in my branch.

“The branch will open six days a week to make it easier for customers to do their banking when it suits them,” he said.

As Owner-Manager of the branch, Mr Faeeh said he was “relishing the opportunity” to personally serve his customers and encouraged both residents and businesses to visit the new branch when it opens.

Bank of Queensland Rockdale will open in August.
