A local junior soccer team at Pine Rivers United Sports Club is set to start the soccer season in winning form after Bank of Queensland Warner signed on as their new sponsor this week.
BOQ Owner-Manager Greg Ellis and his branch have committed $3000 to sponsor Pine Rivers United Sports Club (PRUSC) and its Under-11’s junior soccer team for the next three years.
Greg said his branch is thrilled to be a sponsor of the PRUSC Under-11’s junior soccer team and be able to give the kids a great kick-start towards becoming soccer stars of the future.
“As part of our sponsorship, we’ll be providing the team and their coach with new soccer jerseys and equipment plus an upgraded playing strip for the 2009 soccer season,” Greg said.
“Owning and managing my own BOQ branch in Warner means we really enjoy getting involved with the local community and making a difference.
“We chose to get behind PRUSC because they do so much to encourage local children in the community to participate in team sports.
“The club offers kids the opportunity to learn soccer and develop their skills, while also being able to enjoy the game with their team mates in a fun and friendly environment.”
Pine Rivers United Sports Club President Mark Millard said the club is excited to have BOQ Warner onboard as a sponsor.
“Our sports club depends on community support for our future growth and we really value having the support of a strong long-term partner like Bank of Queensland,” Mark said.
“On behalf of PRUSC, I would like to express my gratitude to Greg and his team at BOQ Warner and we look forward to a fantastic season of soccer ahead.”
