Bank of Queensland will be the first Australian bank to offer touch tone and IVR telephone banking, when it launches its new touch tone functionality at the end of this month.
Group Executive People and Corporate Services, Daniel Musson, said BOQ was delighted to be the first Australian bank to offer both options on a phone banking service, making it the most accessible phone banking service in the country.
“With both touch tone and voice recognition, our EasyPhone Banking service provides options for every preference.
“Customers can now choose whether they want the ease of voice recognition or the comfort of touch tone technology for their phone banking.
“It’s just another way of customers choice; not only do we offer them a network of almost 300 branches Australia-wide, internet banking, mobile phone banking, and telephone banking –we’re giving them even more choice!”
