When Nambour Bank of Queensland Owner-Manager, Gina Van Wezel, was thinking of ways to celebrate her second year in business in July, she came up with a unique way to thank her customers.
With over 50% of her business coming through referrals Gina knew her customers were talking about them to their friends and families, but sometimes she couldn’t identify the referrer to personally thank them.
To take her appreciation one step further, Gina has decided to ‘pay it forward’ throughout July by visiting six randomly picked Bank of Queensland Nambour business customers.
“We have many fantastic business customers in Nambour and I wanted to recognise the great business relationship that we share and also in appreciation of their loyalty and referrals, by ‘paying it forward’ to their customers,” Gina said.
“Whoever is in one of the randomly picked stores at the time I walk in will have their goods or services paid for by me.
“It’s my way of saying thank you and doing something good for others to repay the good that has been done for me.”
Gina got the idea to ‘pay it forward’ from a movie of the same name where a young boy attempts to make the world a better place after his teacher gives him a chance.
Gina also has a bunch of flowers and an open letter in her branch thanking all of her customers for their support and referrals.
“It’s a small way to remind my customers every time they step in the branch that they are very important and play a major role in the success of my business. I can’t express enough gratitude for the support I have been given.”
“I’m really looking forward to another great year ahead at BOQ Nambour,” Gina said.
