Frequently asked questions: New look Internet banking
Why has Internet banking changed?
Internet Banking has been upgraded based on feedback from our Internet banking users. The main change is the look and navigation - all the functionality you know and use is still available.

Is this a real Bank of Queensland site or is it a hoax site?
We have changed the look and feel of our Internet banking. You can be sure you are always viewing the real Bank of Queensland Internet Banking by following these simple steps:
- Always type boq.com.au directly into the address bar.
- Never access BOQ Internet Banking from a link in an email.
- BOQ will never ask for your Internet Banking password via email - If you received an email asking you to do so, do not respond.
- When using BOQ Internet Banking always check for the padlock symbol. The symbol ensures that the page you are on is secure - meaning you can enter confidential information and it will be safe. Refer to How to be sure you're dealing with us for further information.
- Ensure you have up to date security software including anti-virus and firewall programs.

Can I still access the site from an Apple Macintosh?
Yes. This version will be supported by the Safari browser version 3.1.1.

What is the Home Menu?
The Home menu is the new starting page for once you have logged on to Internet Banking. This allows a quick view of accounts, notifications and any pending transactions.

Where has the Pay Anyone Option gone?
The Pay Anyone option is still available and has been included on the Transfers & BPAY menu. The Transfers & BPAY menu has been designed to centralise all payments such as Transfers, Pay Anyone and BPAY.

Will I still be able to export my transaction history?
Yes. There are now two options available, one to export only search results and the other to export everything in your transaction history.

What happened to the Mail tab?
The Mail tab has been replaced by the Messages menu which allows easier access to all saved messages. Now there is a Notifications area on the Home page which links to all unread notices.

Why is there no account name and number when I print from the Home menu?
There is currently a system defect where no account name or number is being printed from Internet Banking. This matter is currently being reviewed as the highest priority. If you wish to print this screen then it is best to copy the page by using the Print Screen function and pasting the image into a word processor and print.
