Product Specific – Unsecured Personal Loans

 

 

Who can apply online?

The following conditions must be met for an online application:

  • All applicants must be Australian residents with an Australian address within a State or Territory where there is a Bank of Queensland branch
  • The Account must be in personal names (no Company or Trading Accounts)
  • All applicants must be over 18 years of age
  • Joint accounts (where applicable) can be up to a maximum of two account holders

 

How can I add another account holder to the account?

When applying online for a Unsecured Personal Loan we cater for a maximum of two account holders.  If you wish to add additional account holders or signatories please visit your local Bank of Queensland branch.

 

Can I apply online if I have a guarantor?

No.  We do not currently accept online applications where a guarantor is required.  Please visit your local Bank of Queensland branch or call the Customer Contact Centre on 1300 55 72 72 to discuss your options.

 

Over what period can I take out an unsecured personal loan?

Unsecured personal loans are available for a maximum term of 7 years.

 

Can I open a fixed interest rate unsecured personal loan?

We don’t currently offer fixed interest rate loans online.  Please visit your local Bank of Queensland branch or call the Customer Contact Centre on 1300 55 72 72 to discuss your account opening options.

 

How much can I borrow?

This depends upon your income and other financial commitments.  The Bank of Queensland currently offers Unsecured Personal Loans of up to $40,000 for successful applicants.

 

How do I receive the money once my Unsecured Personal Loan has been approved?

As part of the loan application process performed by your nominated branch you can nominate if you want your loan disbursement paid to a nominated Bank of Queensland account or paid via bank cheque.

 

Why do you need my employer's details?

We will contact your employer to verify your employment status.
