Dividend payment options

Bank of Queensland shareholders can choose how their dividends are paid:

• Direct credit (Australian holders) or cheque (non-Australian resident holders) - Bank of Queensland pays dividends by direct credit to a nominated bank account for all Australian residents. Residents in other countries will receive payments by way of cheque drawn in Australian Dollars; or
• Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRP) - Eligible shareholders can increase their holding in BOQ by having all or some of their dividends automatically reinvested in the Bank. Benefits of the DRP, how to sign up and full terms and conditions are detailed below; or
• Donate your dividends - Shareholders can assist sick and injured children by donating all or part of their dividend to the national Investing in Hope charity (PDF 99kb). By donating, shareholders can also take advantage of imputation credits and receive a tax-deductible charity receipt. Shareholders can change how they receive dividends by updating their details on the Link Market Services website or by calling 1800 779 639. 

Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRP)

Shareholders can choose to have some or all of their dividends automatically reinvested in the Bank. By participating in the DRP, shareholders will receive the following benefits:

• Shares are issued at a discount of 2.5%*
• Increase your shareholding; it's an optional and convenient way of increasing your holding of Bank of Queensland shares.
• No additional costs. The shares issued to you under the DRP are free of brokerage, commission and stamp duty costs.
• Shares issued under the DRP rank equally with existing shares.

* Shares are issued under the DRP at a discount of 2.5% on the arithmetic average of the daily volume weighted average price.

Registering for the DRP 

Request a DRP election form by calling the share registry on 1800 779 639.

How to change the account your dividends are paid into

Update your account details by logging in to the Investor Centre accessible from the share registry website. 

Alternatively, you can also print, fill in and return a direct credit form  (PDF 129kb) to the share registry address on the form or call Link Market Services on 1800 779 639.

Why to provide your Tax File Number or Australian Business Number

Shareholders are not obliged to quote their Tax File Number (TFN) or Australian Business Number (ABN). However, tax may be deducted from unfranked portions of payments at the highest marginal rate.

To advise your details, please print, fill in and return the TFN and ABN update form (PDF 377) and return to the Link Market Services address on the form. Or call the share registry on 1800 779 639 and they will send one out to you.
