When you register for Internet Banking you will be asked to choose a Daily Limits Package. This Limits Package will define the daily transaction limit for Pay Anyone Payments (including Multi Payments) and BPAY® transactions made via Internet Banking.

The Limits Package will be set by BOQ as part of your initial registration, and be effective immediately. You can change your Limits Package online.

Any decrease to your Limits Package will be effective immediately. Any increase will be applied automatically after 2 calendar days. This two day delay is for security reasons. In this two day period we will send an email to the registered email address for your profile to advise you that a limit change has been requested.

The available Limits Packages are outlined in the table below:

Pay Anyone Daily Limit Authentication Method BPAY Daily Limit
$0 - $0
$2,500 - $10,000
$5,000 - $20,000
$10,000 BOQ Security Token - Application #1 $50,000
$15,000 BOQ Security Token - Application #1 $100,000
$25,000 BOQ Security Token - Application #1 $200,000
$10,000,000 BOQ Security Token - Application #2 $10,000,000

Please Note: These Pay Anyone and BPAY Limits Packages are pre-set pairs as outlined above. Different Pay Anyone and BPAY limits can not be selected separately. For example, a $2,500 Pay Anyone and $50,000 BPAY limit is not a valid limit combination.

Please Note: For credit cards the following limits apply:

  • Single transaction limit -  $50,000
  • Daily transaction limit - $99,999

Some changes to the Daily Limits Package may result in the need for additional authentication on Internet Banking value transactions where funds are being transferred outside BOQ. If your new Daily Limits Package requires additional authentication, you must obtain a BOQ Security Token if you do not already have one.

Furthermore, if you increase your daily Pay Anyone limit you may also increase your liability for any unauthorised transactions that are performed using your Customer Access Number and Personal Access Code without your knowledge or consent.
