Bank of Queensland (BOQ) Group has raised more than $240,000 for Orange Sky Australia through its annual Orange Sky July campaign, the most successful in the partnership's history.

The month-long effort launched with the second annual Vanloads of Hope Fundraising Breakfast at Howard Smith Wharves, where more than 200 business, government and community leaders gathered and raised more than $53,000 in a single morning.

From there, BOQ Group people right across the country got behind the campaign, fundraising and turning their branches orange in support of Australians experiencing homelessness and hardship.

The total was boosted by a record Dollar Match Day, which raised $95,000 after BOQ Group matched every employee and community dollar donated. It was the highest single day result in the campaign's history.

Every dollar raised goes directly to Orange Sky Australia, the not for profit delivering free mobile laundry, warm showers and genuine conversation to people doing it tough. This year's funds will help deliver more than 10,000 loads of washing and warm showers, 833 volunteer shifts and over 4,100 hours of conversation for people in need.

BOQ Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Rod Finch said the result reflected the pride BOQ Group takes in its partnership with Orange Sky.

"Orange Sky July is a highlight of our year. Our people rally together, fundraising, volunteering and turning our branches orange in support of a cause that matters. We’re proud to support an organisation that delivers vital services to people who need them the most,” he said.

Beyond the breakfast and Dollar Match Day, employees fundraised through market stalls, bake sales, raffles and trivia nights held across the Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney offices, bringing people together for a cause close to their hearts.

Since 2021, BOQ Group has raised more than $1 million for Orange Sky Australia through Orange Sky July, reflecting a long-term community partnership grounded in the Group's purpose of building social capital through banking.

"Orange Sky couldn't do what we do without partners like BOQ Group rallying behind us and truly believing in our mission," said Orange Sky CEO and Co-Founder, Lucas Patchett.

"The outcome from the Vanloads of Hope Breakfast and the entire Orange Sky July campaign by BOQ Group has been incredible. We are truly blown away by the support and energy from their entire team.

“We know how important a clean load of laundry and a friendly conversation can make a massive impact for someone doing it tough and how our services are in higher need than ever before. Through BOQ Group's generosity, Orange Sky will continue showing up for the growing number of Aussies who need our support."
