Report your card lost or stolen.

If your card is lost or stolen

You don’t need to have all cards on your account replaced if a card is lost or stolen, as only the affected card will be cancelled.

If your card is lost or stolen while overseas

VISA guarantees replacement of a lost or stolen card almost anywhere in the world within 48 hours.

Need help reporting your card lost or stolen? Call 1800 077 024 (+617 3336 2222 outside of Australia) and follow the prompts.

Report your card lost through myBOQ app

If you hold an Everyday Account, you can stop your card and order a replacement directly through the myBOQ mobile app.

1. Log in to the myBOQ app.
2. Tap the icon in the bottom menu.
3. Tap ‘Manage cards’ in the menu.
4. Select the account you’d like to lock the card for.
5. Tap ‘Lock card temporarily’.
6. You can unlock it instantly by toggling the switch to ‘off’.

Overseas Travel.

Before you leave Australia let us know the dates you’ll be travelling and the countries you’re planning to visit.

Log into the myBOQ app and send us a secure chat message. Let us know the following information:

1. How long you'll be away.
2. Where you're travelling to.
3. Your departure & return dates.
4. The best way to contact you while away.

If you are overseas and can’t receive a one-time password for myBOQ.

If you have disabled international roaming with your mobile service provider and can’t receive SMS text messages, you can still complete most functions via security questions to change or update that require authentication in the myBOQ app.

These functions include paying a new payee, changing a limit and changing personal details on your profile.

Note: When setting up your account for the first time, you cannot use security questions to verify changes to your accounts or profile.

Reset your card PIN.

If you need help to reset your debit card pin.

myBOQ

You can reset your debit card PIN in the myBOQ app.

1. Log in to the myBOQ app.
2. Tap the icon in the bottom menu.
3. Tap ‘Manage cards’ in the menu.
4. Select the account you’d like to set the PIN for.
5. Tap ‘Change your card PIN’.
6. Enter your desired new PIN by entering it twice.
7. Enter the one-time code we send you to confirm the change.

Add an additional card holder.

To add an additional cardholder on an existing BOQ Credit Card.

  • Call our contact centre on 1300 55 72 72
  • Complete the additional cardholder application form and visit your local BOQ branch

BOQ mobile app

You can request an additional card holder through BOQ Internet Banking.

1. Select your Credit Card account.
2. Click on 'Q Rewards / Other Card Functions'.
3. Select 'Add Additional Cardholder'.

Decrease your Credit Card limit.

To request a decrease to your credit card limit.

You can request a credit limit decrease by logging into BOQ Internet Banking.

1. Log into Internet Banking
2. Select 'Manage my Credit Card'.
3. Click on 'Credit Limit Decrease'.
4. Follow the prompts.

If you have not used BOQ Internet Banking before, you will need to register first.

Please note: It is important that your credit limit can’t be lower than your product minimum and should you wish to reinstate your previous credit limit after it is decreased, your application to increase your limit will be subject to our lending criteria at the that time.

Increase your Credit Card limit.

Existing customers can contact us on 1300 55 72 72 to request an increase on their credit card limit and we will assess the request. An application to increase your credit limit is subject to our credit criteria.

Close your Credit Card.

Internet Banking

You can request to close your Credit Card account through internet banking.

1. Log in to Internet Banking.
2. Select your Credit Card account.
3. Tap on 'Q Rewards / Other Card Functions'.
4. Select 'Manage Your Credit Card'.
5. Click on 'Account Closure Request'.

Please note: This cannot be requested via the BOQ mobile banking app.

Before closing your account, please consider the terms and conditions that apply to the product.

An application to open a new credit card is subject to our credit criteria.

Changes to your Credit Card number or expiry date.

If you have provided a merchant with your Credit Card number for a Regular Payment Arrangement and your Credit Card number and/or expiry date changes, then you must always contact the merchant to advise them of the new Credit Card/expiry details.

Failure to advise the merchant of these changes could result in the cancellation of goods and/or services (eg, the cancellation of your car insurance policy).
