Please submit your last two original payslips. If you have been with your current employer for less than two years we require the two payslips from your current employer and the name and address of your previous employer. If you are starting a new job, we require two payslips from your previous employer and a copy of the employment contract with your new employer.
We currently only accept Online Applications for lending products (i.e. Credit cards) for PAYG employees i.e. not from self employed applicants.

If you do not have suitable documentation to complete the Customer Identification requirements then you should contact our Customer Contact Centre on 1300 55 72 72 or your nearest branch.
For deposit products a Certified Copies Form is able to be used where it is inconvenient to attend a branch. This form is available by application only. Follow these steps to complete the form:
1. Choose an Acceptable Certifier from the ‘Permissible Certifier Categories’ list on page two of the Certified Copies form. Please make sure you carefully read the ‘Permissible Certifier Categories’ list before selecting an Acceptable Certifier.
2. You must provide the Bank with certified copies of specific identification documents per the above table. The acceptable combinations are as follows:
- Two (2) A documents (A+A) or
- One (1) A document AND one (1) B document (A+B) or
- One (1) A document AND one (1) C document (A+C) or
- Two (2) B documents (B+B) or
- One (1) B document AND two (2) C documents (B+C+C)
3. Select your primary and secondary identification verification documents from categories A,B and C.
4. You will need to make copies of each of the identification documents you choose and take both the originals and the copies to your Acceptable Certifier.
5. Your Acceptable Certifier will be required to complete the ‘Certifier Checklist’ on page 2 of the form. Please note that the Acceptable Certifier must sign the copy of the original identification used.
6. Send your completed form along with the signed copies of your identification to:

Who can apply for a Credit Card online?
The following conditions must be met for an online application:
- All applicants must be Australian residents with an Australian address within a State or Territory
- The Account must be in personal names (no Company or Trading Accounts)
- The applicant must be over 18 years of age
- If an additional cardholder is requested, they must be over 16 years of age
How long will the online Credit Card application take to complete?
How long will it take for the bank to process my application and notify me?
You will be notified of the outcome of your Credit Card application within 2 bank business days from submission of the electronic application.
Please note: if your application for a Credit Card is approved, the approval is conditional upon your nominated branch receiving the required documentation and confirmation of your employment. The credit card application will not proceed without the required income documentation or confirmation of employment.

- Your income and expense details
- Your employment details

To add an additional cardholder on an existing BOQ Credit Card:
- Select your Credit Card account in BOQ Internet Banking, select ‘Q Rewards / Other Card Functions’ and then select the ‘Add and Additional Cardholder’ function; or
- Visit your nearest BOQ branch.
How many additional cardholders may I attach to my card?
How can I transfer my other credit card or store card balances to my credit card?
As part of the Credit Card application you have the option to request balance transfers from other non-BOQ Credit Cards or store cards. If you require a balance transfer after you have your new BOQ Credit Card, you can request a balance transfer by:
- Accessing the ‘Request a Balance Transfer’ function within the Q Rewards / Other Card functions in BOQ Internet Banking. Q Rewards / Other Card functions can be found when you select your Credit Card account;
- Visiting your nearest BOQ branch
- Calling 1300 55 77 72 and following the prompts for Credit Card customers

Who can apply online?
The following conditions must be met for an online application:
- All applicants must be Australian residents with an Australian address within a State or Territory where there is a BOQ branch
- The Account must be in personal names (no Company or Trading Accounts)
- All applicants must be over 18 years of age
- Joint accounts (where applicable) can be up to a maximum of two account holders
