BOQ has announced a review and remediation plan of its payroll processes, following the discovery of errors in the payment of salaries and entitlements resulting in underpayments and overpayments for some employees.

As a first step, BOQ has made remediation payments to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) as part of the Superannuation Guarantee Amnesty. The ATO has advised it will directly contact past and present employees who will receive contributions into their superannuation accounts over the coming months.

A broader external wage analysis and review for Enterprise Agreement (EA) employees is being conducted after some irregularities were found in the use of allowances and overtime codes. The issues identified relate to people employed under an EA and specific requirements under the 2010, 2014 and 2018 EAs. BOQ will contact any affected former and current EA employees in the coming months.

If you are a former BOQ employee please contact our dedicated hotline number (1800 570 677) or email for more information or to let us know your current contact details.

BOQ apologises unreservedly to people affected by this issue and will ensure people are remediated fully as a matter of priority.
