Customers holding existing BOQ accounts will continue to manage these via BOQ Mobile or internet banking.

Of course. But you’ll need to open a new Everyday Account or saver account to access the myBOQ app, as your existing accounts won’t be available.

To keep your money secure within the app, myBOQ is secured with a 6-digit access code and facial recognition or fingerprint biometric login on compatible devices. A one-time pin is also texted to you to prevent any unauthorised changes to your account.
Yes, customers with any myBOQ accounts can visit any BOQ branch for assistance. We also have a dedicated contact centre, and in-app chat should you have any questions or need assistance.

You can open an account in just a few minutes right from the myBOQ app or via the “apply now” link on the product site you’re interested in applying for. If you’re an Australian citizen or resident 14 years or older, all you’ll need is an Australian’s driver’s licence, Australian Passport or Medicare card.

Everyday Account – Our simple, intuitive everyday transaction account, made even better for you with user-friendly features that help you make the most of your money.
Future Saver and Smart Saver – Our high-interest savings account with easy-to-earn bonus interest, goal tracking and no monthly account fees. Customers between the age of 14-35 will receive a Future Saver account, whilst customers 36 years and older will receive the Smart Saver Account.
Simple Saver– No hoops and no fuss when you just want to save. Simply sit back and watch your savings grow.

The myBOQ app is compatible with smartphone devices running iOS 12.0+ and Android™ 8.0+. myBOQ app is free to download however your mobile network provider may charge you for accessing data on your phone.

*If choosing option 1 on the Switching Regular Payments Form, BOQ will transfer all direct debits and direct credits to BOQ. If you would like a list of regular payments, but don’t wish BOQ to notify any Debit Users of your account change, please choose option 2 on the form. If you chose option 2, on receipt of the list you may ask BOQ to assist in notifying all or some Debit Users through a Notice of Variation Form, available in branch, or you may choose to contact each company/business directly.
The switching process will notify the Debit User of the account change, however they are not obligated to action this change. Some Debit Users will not accept this form of notification (such as some government agencies) or are unable to be contacted. Therefore we recommend if the change has not been actioned within 4-6weeks of submitting this request, you contact the company/business directly to implement the change.

**A Bonus Interest variable rate will only be paid if Bonus Criteria are met in the previous month. Bonus Criteria will be met where both the following conditions are met:
- a minimum of $1,000 is credited to the linked Everyday Account in the prior calendar month. This excludes amounts transferred from another one of your BOQ Accounts including any Account you may be linked to as an Authorised User or joint Account holder;
- at least 5 direct debit transactions, ATM withdrawals, BPAY payments, or purchases of goods or services from a Merchant are made in the prior calendar month by using your eftpos Card or BOQ Visa Debit Card associated with your linked Everyday Account. This does not include cheques written or deposited, branch cash withdrawals, transfers or payments to any BOQ account or to a non-BOQ account via Internet Banking, in branch or at ATMs, transfer of funds to accounts held at an overseas bank, pending Visa Debit Card transactions and BOQ Credit Card transactions.
Transactions that are not settled (are pending) do not count towards the Bonus Criteria. If a transaction is made but settles in the following calendar month then the transaction will be counted in the following calendar month.
The variable Base Rate always applies in the first month after opening an account. In the first month, Bonus Criteria on the transaction account is measured from the time the Saver Account is opened, not the full calendar month even if the transaction account was already existing. Interest is calculated on a stepped basis and paid monthly on the first day of the following month. If Bonus Criteria conditions are not met the variable Base Rate only will apply.
