Varsity Lakes’ Business Community Turn out to Welcome Bank of Queensland
Varsity Lakes’ business community turned out in force last night to welcome the new Bank of Queensland branch to the area.
BOQ Managing Director David Liddy and the Owner-Managers of the new branch, David Lynch and Brigid Nolan, officially opened the branch last night with the help of local Councillor, Jan Grew.
Mr Lynch addressed the more than 50 guests, saying he was ‘looking forward to getting to know the Varsity Lakes’ community better’.
“Brigid and I were drawn to the area because it really has the best of both worlds, with a great business base as well as a strong and growing residential community,” said Mr Lynch.
“It’s so great to see so many people here tonight and we really are excited about getting around to talk to each and every one of you.
“We’d love the opportunity to show you just how different banking can be. We want to return to old-fashioned values, but with new-fashioned banking.
“What I mean by that is that we’re happy to come and see you at your home or business – whatever suits you – but we also have all the other points of access you could need, from internet banking to telephone banking, to the most widespread ATM network of any Bank in Australia.”
Mr Lynch and Ms Nolan bring a combined total of more than 30 years of experience in banking, business and customer service to the branch, and Ms Nolan said she was looking forward to ‘taking the hard work and hassle out of banking’ for her clients.
“I think what we can offer our customers is that real focus on personal service, which does seem to have taken a backseat at many of our competitors.
“We want to offer all of our customers a VIP banking experience; we’ll take the hard work and hassle out of managing your finances, so you can concentrate your efforts and energy on things you actually enjoy doing!”
Managing Director David Liddy sung the praises of Brigid and David, saying: “Our Owner-Managers are the cream of the crop and are not only excellent bankers but passionate about looking after their clients. We have very stringent quality and experience requirements to ensure we only have the very best Owner-Managers.”
