Bank of Queensland Taroom has helped put smiles on local kids’ faces with the donation of almost $1000 towards a new bike track at Taroom Kindergarten.

BOQ Taroom Customer Service Manager Rachel Ferris said the kindergarten playground was in desperate need of a makeover to make it more stimulating for the kids and she was proud BOQ Taroom could help out.

“It’s great to see the bike track completed. We really hope the kids get a lot of enjoyment out of using it,” Rachel said.

“I know the Taroom Kindergarten is vital to our community with many families benefiting from its services, so it’s great to be able to give something back to the community which supports us.

“My daughter attended the kindergarten for two years so I’ve experienced the benefits of its services first-hand. It really is a service that our community couldn’t do without,” she said.

Taroom Kindergarten Director Nicole Cahill said it was wonderful to see businesses in the community supporting the kindergarten and reinforcing the importance of quality early childhood education and care.

“It's important that the children in our community receive every opportunity to reach their full potential because, as we all know, they are our future,” Nicole said.

Rachel and her team are hoping to have more opportunities to help out at Taroom kindergarten and have offered their time for any volunteering opportunities in the future.
