Retirement of Director

Bank of Queensland's Chairman, Neil Summerson, today announced the retirement of Bill Kelty, AC from the Board. 

"Bill joined the BOQ Board in August 2001 and has made a highly valued contribution to the Bank over the past 11 years. In particular he has provided tremendous assistance in guiding the Bank through the tumultuous trading conditions since 2008. 

"I am joined by fellow members of the Board in recognising Bill's contribution to the Bank and wishing him all the very best for the future." 

Mr Kelty said that he decided to retire from the Board in order to focus on other work commitments. 

"It has been an honour to serve on the Board and I have every confidence in the strategic direction and management team at BOQ." 

Mr Kelty's resignation will be effective from close of business today, 31 July 2012.
