Through their month-long Banking on our Kids appeal, BOQ’s entire national network has managed to fundraise more than $225,000 to help give sick Aussie children the chance to grow up and achieve their dreams.

The appeal raises vital funds for Children’s Hospital Foundations Australia, the national fundraising partnership that supports five of the country’s major children’s hospital foundations in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide.

Celebrating 10 years of partnership, the appeal has now raised more than $1,582,000.

Speaking at a thank-you luncheon for supporters yesterday, BOQ CEO and Managing Director Stuart Grimshaw said many hands were needed to ensure the appeal’s success.

“This great result was made possible through the efforts of our 260 strong branch network and our corporate staff across Australia who have been working hard to raise awareness and funds,” Mr Grimshaw said.

“I’d also like to thank all our partners, customers and the local communities we operate in for their continued support and generous donations.

“All donations go directly towards funding vital equipment needs, research into breakthrough treatment methods for childhood illnesses.

“Over the last decade we’ve made a real difference – helping sick children to get better, go home and grow up to live healthy, happy lives,” he said.

National Director of Children’s Hospital Foundations Australia, Fiona Sutton said the partner foundations were extremely grateful for the funds raised by BOQ through the appeal.

“Sick kids deserve every chance there is for them to live a normal life and BOQ’s Banking on our Kids appeal is helping to make this a reality,” Fiona said.

“We are thrilled to be celebrating this 10 year partnership and on behalf of the Children’s Hospital Foundations Australia we would like to thank BOQ staff and the Australian community for their ongoing support,” she said.
