BOQ Appoints New Head of BOQ Broker

Monday, 21 May 2018.

BOQ has announced the appointment of Natasha Kelso as its new Head of BOQ Broker.

Natasha brings more than 11 years of experience in third party banking to BOQ and has over 15 years in the financial services industry.

Anthony Rose, Acting Group Executive Retail Bank, said Natasha’s reputation for strong leadership and relationship building skills will be an asset to the BOQ Broker team.

“We have seen major growth in our BOQ Broker channel over the past few years, and Natasha’s experience and strong industry knowledge, along with established industry relationships, will ensure we carry on that momentum and continue to increase our presence in the broker space,” he said.

Natasha said it was BOQ’s reputation for developing strong relationships with their partners and clients, as well as the opportunity to continue to develop BOQ’s broker offering, which drew her to the role.

“I have watched BOQ’s broker offering grow and mature over the past few years and seen how their relationship focused business model has earned them a name as an important player in the broker space,” she said.

“I am looking forward to continuing to enhance BOQ’s broker channel to ensure this growth continues and we reinforce our position as a key alternative to the major banks.”

Prior to BOQ, Natasha was National Manager of Broker for Credit Union Australia for the past five years. Natasha built the broker channel from a new offering to the market in 2013 to a channel that now represents over half of the home loan flow. Natasha starts with BOQ on Monday 18 June.
