How to
redeem your Q Rewards®
points

To redeem your Q Rewards® points, you can follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your BOQ Internet Banking
  2. Select your credit card account number
  3. The Q Rewards® / Other Card Functions button will appear on the next page
  4. Choose the item or reward you want to redeem your points for and follow the prompts to complete your redemption request

Remember that there are no hidden fees, no caps and no expiry on your Q Rewards® points.

    It is a credit card that offers rewards or benefits when you make eligible purchases with your card. These can include cashback, points that can be redeemed for vouchers. and other rewards.

  • Where can I use my rewards points?

    With the BOQ Q Rewards®, there are a variety of ways you can use your points. You can:

    • Redeem them for cashback to your account
    • Use your points to pay off eligible purchases
    • Redeem your points for eVouchers from retailers including Coles, BP, Bunnings & more
    • Convert your points to Velocity Points and use them to travel or transfer your points to Flybuys Points and get even more choice on how to spend them (Note: Points transfer is only available on the BOQ Platinum credit card)

  • Who can apply for a credit card online?

    The following conditions must be met for an online application:

    • All applicants must be Australian residents with an Australian address within a State or Territory
    • The Account must be in personal names (no Company or Trading Accounts)
    • The applicant must be over 18 years of age
    • If an additional cardholder is requested, they must be over 16 years of age
  • How long will the online credit card application take to complete?

    The online credit card application for our Platinum Visa Credit Card will take approximately 20 minutes to complete, assuming you have all the necessary information on hand.

  • What documents do I require?

    The required documentation is dependent upon whether or not you are an existing BOQ customer.

    To apply for a BOQ Credit Card, you will require the following documents:

    • Identification documents, including address details
    • Your income and expense details
    • Your employment details

  • How do I add an additional cardholder?

    To add an additional cardholder on an existing BOQ Credit Card:

    • Select your credit card account in BOQ Internet Banking, select ‘Q Rewards / Other Card Functions’ and then select the ‘Add and Additional Cardholder’ function; or
    • Visit your nearest BOQ Branch
  • Are rewards credit cards worth it?

    This depends on a few factors, however, as long as you are not carrying a balance over the no-interest period and the annual fee is lower than the value of the rewards and complimentary insurances that you’ll earn, then they are usually worth it!
