Do I have to have a finance background for the Internship Program? 

No, applications are welcome from Interns from a wide range of disciplines including but not limited to; business, banking, economics, accounting, finance, human reasources, mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, marketing, computer science, physics, engineering and/or quantitative finance. 

Is the Intern Program Full Time? 

Yes. Interns in the program will work five days a week for the 11 week program (minus business holiday shutdown) in our Newstead, Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne office. As we navigate COVID-19 we’ll also work with you and your intern team to determine where working from home makes sense.

When do I need to graduate? 

Applications are welcome from students who are in their penultimate year of undergraduate or postgraduate study. This means you will need to be graduating from your degree by December 2023 to participate.

Will I get a job with BOQ Group after the 11 week program? 

Upon successful completion of the 11 week program high performing Interns will be first in line for jobs upon their graduation! Many interns stay on at the bank working part time while they finish their degree.

What work rights do I need?

You will need citizenship or permanent residency in Australia or New Zealand to be a part of the program.
