BOQ Continues to Improve fee Free ATM Access With Customers Deal

BOQ has today announced a deal with ATM Solutions Australasia Pty Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of Customers Limited) (‘Customers’) to provide cardholders with greater accessibility, offering more direct charge-free ATMs in more convenient locations.

Under the agreement, Customers will supply and manage more than 400 ATMs, which will operate under the rediATM brand.

BOQ, which partnered with rediATM in September last year, has been investigating opportunities to expand its ATM presence and said the deal with Customers provided the best solution for BOQ customers.

With this announcement, the rediATM network will expand to 3,800 machines, which is one of the largest in the country and has the largest direct charge free network ‘reach’ in Queensland.

“We are always looking for ways to offer customers greater access, because we want to make it as easy and low cost as possible for customers to bank with us, in the most convenient way for them,” said BOQ Group Executive, Strategy & Customers, David Tonuri.

“BOQ can now offer our cardholders access to 3,800 rediATMs in convenient locations, including at the majority of BP Australia’s owned and operated service stations,” said David.

“We believe this means we are offering our customers ease of access that exceeds that of our bigger competitors.

“Back this up with our unique Owner-Managed Branch network, our award-winning Mobile Banking, latest Internet Banking and Telephone Banking platform, and we are matching, if not beating, the bigger banks on access.“

Customers Managing Director Tim Wildash said the deal provided Customers with a significant business growth opportunity and recognition of the quality of its ATM and service proposition.

“We are delighted that BOQ selected Customers through a competitive process to provide its cardholders across Australia with greater charge-free ATM access,” said Tim.

“Today’s announcement represents a significant progression forward for Customers as part of our growth and financial institution services provision strategy. It is with enthusiasm that we look forward to providing BOQ customers with some of the most advanced ATM technology and functionality available today.”

The agreement with Customers is for a term of five years and is in addition to the fleet of more than 250 ATMs managed by BOQ’s IT partner, HP.
