“We have done a lot of work not only integrating but also improving the Pioneer network to enhance the service we offer customers, including access to a national branch and ATM network and a wider range of products,” Mr Liddy said.

“We said from the outset that customers would love BOQ’s strong focus on awesome service and local faces, the same as Pioneer, and feedback so far has been very positive.

“BOQ customers in the region are also winners, with the convenience of an expanded network with branches in Sarina, Bowen, Proserpine, Moranbah and across Mackay.

“It has also been very successful operationally point with Pioneers’ Private Agencies transitioning smoothly to become very effective BOQ Owner-Managed Branches (OMBs).

“The former Pioneer agency in Bowen has increased new home loans to 300 per cent of target and now have top-shelf business banking products to allow them to able to assist local businesses.

“And the branch in West Mackay has been purchased by local bankers Mike Meynell and Laura Thompson who have already exceeded lending and deposit targets by 190 per cent.”

Mr Liddy will visit both BOQ and former Pioneer branches to talk with staff and see the results of the integration first-hand and will meet with prominent business and community leaders at a business lunch.
